Dr Su-Lin, Tan

Dr. Su-Lin attained her degree in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Manipal Academy of Higher Education. Upon graduating, she served the Ministry of Health (MOH) at internal medicine, surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, anesthetics, ophthalmology, occupational safety and health as an intern at Hospital Kuala Lumpur, then continued her service in MOH as a medical officer in community and maternal health clinic in Port Dickson specializing in diagnosis and treatment, health education, counselling, disease prevention and screening.
Having practicing medicine in various disciplines for many years, it has enabled her to have diversified exposures towards patient care altogether formulates her interest in achieving health through primary prevention. She experiences great personal gratification looking after patients in a holistic manner.
Dr. Su-Lin also strongly believes in remarkable optimal health care providence through personalized medicine that collaborates with universally accessible, affordable, quality health structures tailored for individuals, families and communities. Medicine is no longer confined to treatment of diseases and achieving the state of being free from illnesses or injuries but by nipping it in the bud and interception of disease progression. She lives by the dictum of “Prevention is better than cure“.
Currently Dr. Su-Lin is pursuing Occupational Health Doctor course at NIOSH and Diploma of Family Medicine offered by AFPM.
